Combined Filters VZero Line Width Pick 3 The VZero Line Width (VTZ-LW) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
VZero (VTZ) is a different representation of the VTracs (VTX) concept with the difference that the digits start with 0 rather than 1. That simplifies the conversion drastically as the first five digits (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are the same in both number and VZero conversion. The Line Width is a so called "math filter". Math filters are created through calculations. The Line Width is the difference between the highest and the lowest digit of a number. To show you how to calculate the VZero Line Width filter for a Pick 3 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 3 VZero Line Width Conversion Step 1: Divide 870 into separate digits: 870 => 8 7 0 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 8 = 3 7 = 2 0 = 0 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 3 2 0 = 320
Part II: Pick 3 VZero Line Width Conversion Step 1: Divide the 320 into separate digits: 320 => 3 2 0 Step 2: Find the highest digit: 3 2 0 => 3 Step 3: Find the lowest digit: 3 2 0 => 0 Step 4: Subtract the lowest digit from the highest: 3 - 0 = 3
