Combined Filters VZero Distance Codes Pairs The VZero Distance Codes (VTZ-DSC) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
VZero (VTZ) is a different representation of the VTracs (VTX) concept with the difference that the digits start with 0 rather than 1. That simplifies the conversion drastically as the first five digits (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are the same in both number and VZero conversion.
To show you how to calculate the VZero Distance Codes filter for a Pick 2 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pairs VZero Distance Codes Conversion Step 1: Divide 70 into separate digits: 70 => 7 0 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 7 = 2 0 = 0 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 2 0 = 20
Part II: Pairs VZero Distance Codes Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 20 => 2 0 Step 2: Calculate the distance between each digit and the next (the last digit with the first): 2 to 0 => 2 0 to 2 => 2 Step 3: Convert distances to codes (0=E[qual], 1 & 9 = C[onsecutive], 2-8 = N[one]): 2 => N 2 => N Step 4: Combine the filters to a string: N N = NN
