Combined Filters Neighbors Sums Pairs The Neighbors Sums (NB-SUM) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
Neighbors (NB) is yet another alternative to the old VTracs (VTX). Instead of combining digits by adding 5 it selects the all even digits with the next odd digit up, 0 with 1, 2 with 3 all the way to 8 with 9. It is another efficient way to combine an odd with an even digit. The Sums filter is a so called "math filter". Math filters are created through calculations. You get the sum of a number by adding up the digits within that number. To show you how to calculate the Neighbors Sums filter for a Pick 2 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pairs Neighbors Sums Conversion Step 1: Divide 88 into separate digits: 88 => 8 8 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 8 = 5 8 = 5 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 5 5 = 55
Part II: Pairs Neighbors Sums Conversion Step 1: Divide the 55 into separate digits: 55 => 5 5 Step 2: Add up the digits: 5 + 5 = 10
