The Infamous ($99!) 2 out of 3 Wheel Talking about this topic is lottery prediction history
About 15+ years ago I created the first version of the wheel; more followed over the years ...
The concept is based on a very basic lottery wheel that is available in many versions something like this: 1 2 7 1 3 8 1 6 10 2 3 6 2 8 10 3 7 10 4 5 9 6 7 8
And it guarantees that when you pick 3 different numbers from the ten possible ones you will always have two correct numbers in this wheel, you can try it just 3 numbers at random 5 1 10: see there is 1 6 10 in the list, 2 3 4 see there is 2 3 6 in the list.
On the Internet at that time people started to sell that system as the best system ever for up to $99(!) for Pick 3 by exchanging the 10 with a 0: Something like this: 127 138 160 236 280 370 459 678 Now playing these 8 numbers guarantees you that you always have at least 2 out of 3 digits correct when the the result is a single. Yes, you do never have to change your numbers, it will work just with those numbers.
While the limitations of the system are obvious; 2 out of 3 will not win anything in Pick 3, the concept was immediately liked by players as they still got closer to the win. As I had the workout tools in place, I decided to create one and I named the "The Infamous ($99!) 2 out of 3 Wheel"! But because it was such a boring "system" because you never had to change the numbers I added a twist to it. You enter the 3 previous draws and the numbers would change.
I created different versions of the systems; the first version are still available in the "Classic" Wheel Pack 1
Shortly after the creation based on a similar standard 3 out of 4 wheel I created a Pick 4 version and named it "The Infamous ($199!) 3 out of 4 Wheel", a 14 number wheel, which guarantees that you always have at least 3 out of 4 digits correct when the the result is a single.
They both became Internet hits that many players still use today, enjoy and use for their own playing lists. The updated versions used only 1 previous draw with simpler entry features can be found here: Pick 3
