Combined Filters VZero Root Sums Pairs The VZero Root Sums (VTZ-RS) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
VZero (VTZ) is a different representation of the VTracs (VTX) concept with the difference that the digits start with 0 rather than 1. That simplifies the conversion drastically as the first five digits (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are the same in both number and VZero conversion. The Root Sums filter is a so called "math filter". Math filters are created through calculations. You get the root sum of a number by first adding up the digits within that number and then adding up the digits of each sum continuously until only one digit is left. To show you how to calculate the VZero Root Sums filter for a Pick 2 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pairs VZero Root Sums Conversion Step 1: Divide 43 into separate digits: 43 => 4 3 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 4 = 4 3 = 3 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 4 3 = 43
Part II: Pairs VZero Root Sums Conversion Step 1: Divide 43 into separate digits: 43 => 4 3 Step 2: Add up the digits: 4 + 3 = 7
