Combined Filters VZero Distances Pick 4 The VZero Distances (VTZ-DST) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
VZero (VTZ) is a different representation of the VTracs (VTX) concept with the difference that the digits start with 0 rather than 1. That simplifies the conversion drastically as the first five digits (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are the same in both number and VZero conversion.
To show you how to calculate the VZero Distances filter for a Pick 4 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 4 VZero Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide 4045 into separate digits: 4045 => 4 0 4 5 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 4 = 4 0 = 0 4 = 4 5 = 0 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 4 0 4 0 = 4040
Part II: Pick 4 VZero Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 4040 => 4 0 4 0 Step 2: Calculate the distance between each digit and the next (the last digit with the first): 4 to 0 = 4 0 to 4 = 4 4 to 0 = 4 0 to 4 = 4 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 4 4 4 4 = 4444
