Combined Filters VZero Distances Pick 3 The VZero Distances (VTZ-DST) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
VZero (VTZ) is a different representation of the VTracs (VTX) concept with the difference that the digits start with 0 rather than 1. That simplifies the conversion drastically as the first five digits (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are the same in both number and VZero conversion.
To show you how to calculate the VZero Distances filter for a Pick 3 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 3 VZero Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide 163 into separate digits: 163 => 1 6 3 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 1 = 1 6 = 1 3 = 3 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 1 1 3 = 113
Part II: Pick 3 VZero Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 113 => 1 1 3 Step 2: Calculate the distance between each digit and the next (the last digit with the first): 1 to 1 = 0 1 to 3 = 2 3 to 1 = 2 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 0 2 2 = 022
