Combined Filters Neighbors Distances Pick 5 The Neighbors Distances (NB-DST) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
Neighbors (NB) is yet another alternative to the old VTracs (VTX). Instead of combining digits by adding 5 it selects the all even digits with the next odd digit up, 0 with 1, 2 with 3 all the way to 8 with 9. It is another efficient way to combine an odd with an even digit.
To show you how to calculate the Neighbors Distances filter for a Pick 5 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 5 Neighbors Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide 66280 into separate digits: 66280 => 6 6 2 8 0 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 6 = 4 6 = 4 2 = 2 8 = 5 0 = 1 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 4 4 2 5 1 = 44251
Part II: Pick 5 Neighbors Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 44251 => 4 4 2 5 1 Step 2: Calculate the distance between each digit and the next (the last digit with the first): 4 to 4 = 0 4 to 2 = 2 2 to 5 = 3 5 to 1 = 4 1 to 4 = 3 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 0 2 3 4 3 = 02343
