Combined Filters ATrax Distance Codes Pick 3 The ATrax Distance Codes (ATX-DSC) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
ATrax (ATX), for Alternate or Alternative Tracking, has to be seen an improvement of the VTracs (VTX), as it combines digits logically rather than by a simple adding of 5 to the digit. Since the conversions do not have to be done by hand any longer, other combinations can be done with simple tools online rather than with pencil and paper.
To show you how to calculate the ATrax Distance Codes filter for a Pick 3 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 3 ATrax Distance Codes Conversion Step 1: Divide 005 into separate digits: 005 => 0 0 5 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 0 = 4 0 = 4 5 = 3 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 4 4 3 = 443
Part II: Pick 3 ATrax Distance Codes Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 443 => 4 4 3 Step 2: Calculate the distance between each digit and the next (the last digit with the first): 4 to 4 => 0 4 to 3 => 1 3 to 4 => 1 Step 3: Convert distances to codes (0=E[qual], 1 & 9 = C[onsecutive], 2-8 = N[one]): 0 => E 1 => C 1 => C Step 4: Combine the filters to a string: E C C = ECC
